6/8pm Big Thompson Frank and Jill

Frank and Jill live in Estes, have a bunch of friends that love fly fishing, and wanted to see what all the hype was about.  Jill took to the fly rod with ease, as most women do.  Frank gave it a great effort but was having trouble reading the strike indicator, as there is a story it tells in every drift.  We went down below Waltonia Bridge to find some faster water and more aggressive fish.  River flow was at 130cfs and a green hares ear was the fly to pick up the most fish.

Between my morning and afternoon guided fly fishing trips I walked the Art Fair in Downtown Estes Park.  Frank is the City Manager for the Town of Estes and helps to keep events like these organized (http://www.visitestespark.com)Jill has a passion for philanthropy as she is a director of a the Estes Park Non-Profit Resource Center (www.epnonprofit.org).  I enjoyed our conversations and look forward to seeing them again.

Chad, we had such a great time with you! And what you failed to mention was that I caught 7 fish to Frank’s 2!! I think it was just luck. Thanks for posting these and the description – we almost forgot to check it out. Hope your summer is going great!
