8/15 PM Chris, Hannah, Eli, Emily and Chris

This family from Chicago not only shares with me a passion for the outdoors, but also for the 2013 Stanley Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks.  Bill Greenwald helped me guide this family of 6 as we fished a variety of techniques and locations.

We started off the afternoon at the big thompson tailwater.   The fish were eating small midge.   The fly that was the most successful immitation to the natural insect was a size 24 green jujubee.  Chris caught all three species in the river, a rainbow trout, brown trout, and longnose sucker.   Hannah caught a rainbow and a brown trout.

We moved onto some big fish waters.  We took turns catching really big rainbows from both the pond and river.  Hannah’s attention to catching fish outlasted the other kids as she seemed to take to flyfishing with the greatest of ease.

When at the pond we recieved a visitor from a female Elk, or cow.
